Review Resources
Curriculum Framework for Biochemistry This lists everything you need to know about this unit for the AP Exam. (Source: College Board. Compiled by D. Knuffke)
Biochemistry Study Guide: Due on test day; I highly recommend starting this early! You do not have to define the vocab and turn it in. I recommend making a group quizlet and studying the vocab, but I will not be grading the vocabulary portion.
Sample Free-Response Questions Check out this link to view free-response questions from past AP Biology exams. Under each year, click "Free Response Questions" to see the questions from that year. Click "scoring guidelines" to see the rubric used when grading the essays. Click "Samples and Commentary" to see examples of good (and not so good) real-life student answers. Your first test will have one short free-response and one long free-response. Look for topics that we've covered so far: experimental design (making a hypothesis, figuring out what question the researchers are asking, identifying variables and experimental/control groups, etc), chi-square, water, and organic molecules (carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids). Don't freak out when you see topics we haven't covered yet. Of course those won't be on our first test!
AP Exam Review Notes We'll use this to prep for the AP Exam during our review weeks in April and May. Use this along with the PowerPoint below to begin preparing for the AP Exam.
